A Summation due to Ramanujan and Its Generalization

Abstract

In this research note, we provide a natural generalization of an interesting summation due to Ramanujan. The result is derived with the help of classical Gauss summation theorem available in the literature. The expressions obtained in this work are simple, interesting, easily established and may be (potentially) useful.
