Theory and Model on Atmospheric Windows

Abstract

In this paper, the author proposes a new theory and model of light absorption in the atmosphere which is able to explain the atmospheric windows more accurately. This new theory suggests that the main component in the atmosphere absorbing electromagnetic wave is water vapor and the atmospheric window is likely originated from the absorption spectrum of one kind of molecules.
