Kantowski-Sachs String Cosmological Model in the Presence of Zero-Mass Scalar Field

Abstract

The Einstein field equations coupled with zero-mass scalar field are derived with the help of Kantowski-Sachs metric in the context of cosmic strings. The solutions of the field equations are obtained when metric coefficients are connected by a polynomial relation. The properties of the solutions are discussed.
