On the Complex Weyl Tensor

Abstract

We consider the complex Weyl tensor, in an arbitrary spacetime of Petrov type I in the canonical null tetrad, and we show its connection with two trace-free symmetric tensors which are generators of the Lanczos potential for any type D empty space.
