Kantowski-Sachs String Cosmological Models with Time-dependent Cosmological Term in Lyra Geometry

Abstract

In this paper we have investigated Kantowski-Sachs string cosmological models with time dependent cosmological term in the framework of Lyra geometry. A new class of exact solutions has been obtained by taking deceleration parameter to be variable from which three models of the universe are derived: (i) exponential (ii) polynomial and (iii) sinusoidal form. The behaviors of these models have also been discussed.
