Kantowski-Sachs Bulk Viscous String Cosmological Models in f(R, T) Theory of Gravity

Abstract


New class of spatially homogeneous Kantowski - Sachs string cosmological models with bulk viscosity in f(R, T) modified theory of gravity proposed by Harko et al. (2011) with the special choice of the function f(R, T) = R + 2f(T) are studied. To get the deterministic model of universe, we assume that the shear scalar (σ) in the model is proportional to the expansion scalar (θ). This condition leads to A=Bm where A & B are metric potentials and m is an arbitrary constant. Also some physical and geometrical properties of the obtained models are discussed.
