Magnetized Bianchi Type-III String Bulk Viscous Cosmological Models in Lyra Geometry

A. Asgar, M. Ansari

Abstract

In this paper we have obtained magnetized Bianchi type – III string bulk viscous cosmological models in context of Lyra’s geometry. The source of magnetic field is due to an Electric current produced along x-axis. F_23 is the only non- vanishing component of Electromagnetic field tensor. To obtain a deterministic model, we have assumed the conditions that the shear  sigma is proportional to the scalar expansion theta which leads to B=C^n where B and C are metric potentials, n is a constant and zeta*theta=costant. We also adopt an equation of state rho=k_0*lmbda. It is also observed that in early stage of the evolution of the universe string dominate over the particles whereas the universe is dominated by the massive string at the late time. It is also found that the displacement vector beta is a decreasing function of time and it approaches to a small positive value at late time. It has been found that solutions are consistent with recent observations of type Ia supernova. The physical and geometric properties of the models are also discussed in presence and absence of magnetic field.
