Bianchi Type-VI0 String Cosmological Models in a New Scalar-Tensor Theory of Gravitation

Abstract

The field equations in scalar-tensor theory of gravitation are derived in the presence of cosmic strings .This model is used as a source of Bianchi type VI₀ cosmological model. To get a determinate model, we assume that the expansion (θ) in the model is proportional to the shear (σ).It is found that the cosmic string do exist with the scalar field. Some physical properties of the model are also discussed.
