Comparison of the Fractional Response of a RLC Network and RC Circuit
Abstract
This work presents a methodology based on the Numerical Laplace Transform (NLT) applied to the analysis of a RLC network and RC circuit. The definition of Caputo fractional derivative is applied. The voltage in the capacitor of a RLC network is plotted and compared with the response of a RC fractional circuit obtaining an absolute error. The response obtained suggests that is can model an RLC network with a simple RC circuit described by a fractional differential equation.
