On the Cyclic DNA Codes Over the Ring Z8 + uZ8

Abstract

In this paper, the cyclic DNA codes over the ring A = Z₈ + uZ₈, where u² = 0 are designed. A Gray map 𝝍 from to Z₈² is defined. The cyclic codes of odd length over A satisfies the reverse constraint are studied. The link between the elements of the ring A and the codons is established.
