Cosmological Parameters for Bianchi Type-I Brans-Dicke Universe
Abstract
This paper investigates spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi Type-I cosmological model in Brans-Dicke theory of gravitation. The paper discusses accelerating universe where cosmological constant Λ is taken as the source of dark energy - Λ is the reason for negative pressure and is seen as responsible for the acceleration. This model was found in agreement with SN Ia observations. In this paper, Brans-Dicke coupling constant ω is taken as 100 on the basis of solar system tests. The physical and geometrical properties of the said model is discussed and compared with the corresponding relativistic models.
