Bianchi Type-I Cosmological Model with Varying Ʌ in General Relativity

L. K. Tiwari, R. K. Tiwari

Abstract

The solutions of Einstein field equations are obtained for an anisotropic Bianchi type-I model with bulk viscosity, a variable gravitational constant G and cosmological constant Λ. We have considered vacuum energy density (Λ) to be proportional to the Hubble parameter (H) to get the deterministic solution of field equations. The vacuum energy density (Λ) is found to be positive and it is a decreasing function of time, which is supported by the results from recent SNe Ia observations. Some observational parameters for the model are also discussed. We found that the present universe is accelerating and isotropic at late times.
