On Anomalous Effects in 2D Nanocrystals
Abstract
In this report, we point out that in the case of two-dimensional nanocrystals or quasi-crystals like graphene, there is an interesting anomalous behaviour of Fermions. This could potentially be useful. The point is that some electromagnetic properties depend on the non-commutative geometry of the crystal structure rather than on the chemistry of the crystal material. Issues related to magnetism are also commented upon.
