On The Cosmological Constant and the Higgs Mechanism
Abstract
In this brief review we point out that a ubiquitous background Zero Point Field or dark energy, provides the underpinning for typically Quantum Mechanical effects like spin half or the g = 2 factor as also the cosmological constant on the one hand and the Higgs Mechanism which provides mass on the other. It may be recalled that the model was first suggested by the author in 1997 and subsequently confirmed through observation.
