3-Rotations via the Olinde Rodrigues-Cartan and Hamilton-Cayley Expressions

Abstract

We exhibit how to construct 3-rotations via the matrix expression of Olinde Rodrigues-Cartan and the Hamilton-Cayley’s quaternionic relation. Besides, we obtain the generators of SU(2) and SO(3).
