Anisotropic Generalized Ghost Pilgrim Dark Energy Model in Brans-Dicke Theory of Gravitation

V. U. M. Rao, U. Y. D. Prasanthi

Abstract

In this paper we have studied spatially homogeneous Bianchi type-II generalized ghost pilgrim dark energy cosmological model (GGPDE) in the framework of Brans-Dicke (BD) (Phys. Rev. 124, 925, 1961) scalar tensor theory of gravitation. Hybrid expansion law of scale factor (Pradhan: Indian J. Phys. 89, 503, 2015) is used to obtain a deterministic solution of the field equations. We have obtained cosmological models in BD theory and in general relativity as special cases. It is observed that the solutions in both the cases lead to a time dependent deceleration parameter which exhibits a smooth transition of the universe from decelerated phase to the recent accelerating phase. Some physical and geometrical properties of our models are discussed.
